VSP Vision and Provider Eyecare Association of America (PECAA) are joining forces to help secure the future of independent eye care.

The acquisition of PECAA, a leading doctor alliance group, is a strategic investment to support and empower the long-term success of private practice doctors and ensure private practice continues to be the primary choice of our 85 million members in the face of fierce competition in the market.

While PECAA will continue to operate independently and be led by doctors, our complementary organizations share a vision and together we will work to provide the best solutions for all private practice doctors and identify opportunities to increase value for practices participating in the VSP Vision Premier Program.

  • I am already a PECAA member and Premier indicated? Do I have to choose?

    No. PECAA will continue to operate independently and together we will work to provide the best solutions and deliver value for all private practice doctors.

  • Will my PECAA membership change?

    PECAA members will not experience any changes to their membership and will continue to enjoy both alliance and buying group benefits.

  • How will PECAA benefit network doctors? Does it compete with the Premier Program?

    VSP and PECAA have complementary capabilities and a shared vision to support independent optometrists. PECAA does not compete with the Premier Program. Together we will work to provide the best solutions for private practice doctors and offer industry-leading products, programs, and services so you can meet patient needs while increasing patient flow and profitability.

  • When and how will I learn more?

    We understand you may have questions about this new partnership. Over the next few months, we’ll communicate more about our shared vision to support independent eye care through an expanded calendar of PECAA’s live and virtual events, including its peer-to-peer gatherings. An event schedule, locations, and details will be announced in the coming weeks.
