Attract and retain new patients during the Federal Enrollment Period: November 10, 2025 – December 8, 2025 (midnight EST)
The Federal Employees Dental and Vision Insurance Program (FEDVIP) will continue to offer VSP® vision coverage to Federal employees and annuitants, certain retired uniformed service members and their dependents, and active-duty family members enrolled in a TRICARE health plan. “Open Season,” the Federal Enrollment Period, runs November 10, 2025 – December 8, 2025 (midnight EST) for coverage in 2026. Even better? FEDVIP patients are eligible for VSP PremierMax™, a plan option that gives VSP members enhanced benefits available at VSP Vision™ Premier Edge Platinum- and Gold-level locations. With $0 copays, PremierMax allows patients to maximize their benefits by giving them extra reasons to visit practices participating in Premier Edge. Learn More.
In addition, FEDVIP enrollees also have access to the Premier Edge Promise, a worry-free eyewear guarantee at Premier Edge locations. The Premier Edge Promise gives VSP members extra protection to replace their glasses if they break, if their prescription has changed, or if they don’t love the glasses they chose—all at no cost to you. As a VSP Vision network practice, you have access to exclusive patient engagement materials to support conversations between practice staff and new or existing FEDVIP patients. Use these resources to educate patients about Open Season to encourage their relationship with your practice while continuing to maximize their eye care and eyewear benefits.

Many of my patients—even family members— are current or former service members. When they have the chance to choose their benefits provider through programs like TRICARE, I always recommend VSP for vision care. It offers them stronger benefits, and it allows us to continue supporting them as their trusted provider. Christa Cavallaro, OD C Clearly, Sunnyside, NY
