With many VSP network practices temporarily closed due to COVID-19 shelter-in-place mandates, it is important to keep patients informed on where they can find eye care. If your practice is temporarily closed or open limited hours for essential eye care services, check the Find a Doctor directory page on vsp.com to ensure your business hours are up to date.
VSP Vision Care has executed a call campaign to determine which network practices are open, open limited hours, or temporarily closed. If your practice has reported it is open limited hours or temporarily closed, VSP Vision Care will replace your business hours on the Find a Doctor directory page with this standard message:
Open for essential eye care services. Please call to confirm availability.
If you have not yet reported the status of your practice, let us know by filling out the Location Status Form. You can also use this form to report any status changes, such as when your practice opens back up for services. If your practice is still open for routine eye care, you have the option to self-update your business hours on VSPOnline through Eyefinity.
The Find a Doctor directory will refresh business hours and the standard message daily so that VSP members are given the most accurate information possible. An additional message has been added on the Find a Doctor search results page informing members that there are open locations providing essential eye care. These changes on the Find a Doctor Directory went into effect on Monday, April 13.
