Reminder: Required Cultural Competency Training Due December 31, 2024

On November 25, 2024, VSP^® Medicaid network doctors in the states of Arizona, California, Illinois, Michigan, North Carolina, New Hampshire, Nevada, New York, Ohio, Oregon, South Carolina, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, and West Virginia received an email from VSP prompting them to complete the required 2024 cultural competency online training by December 31, 2024. These states require this annual regulatory training for all doctors (and staff in California) who see Medicaid patients.  

• California only: Doctor owners, employee doctors, and staff must complete the VSP training and submit their electronic attestation. Please note:
  • Doctor owners must attest that they, their employee doctors, and staff have taken the VSP training.
  • Employee doctors must submit their own attestation.
• All other states: Doctors may take either the VSP training or take the training elsewhere. All doctors must submit their training attestation to VSP.
