The Best Boss Award Goes to...

The influx of “Best Boss” nominations confirmed what we already knew: There are so many ODs who go above and beyond every day, not only for their patients, but for their staff as well. 

It was a difficult decision, but the winner of the Best Boss award goes to Natalie Ramirez, OD, of Vision Care Center of Hawaii LLC. Dr. Ramirez received several nominations, with comments such as, “Having someone like her as my boss is like seeing the sunshine after the rain;” “We had fires recently near my house and when she saw I was evacuating, she brought me, my partner, and my dog into her home so we had a place to stay;” and “She takes time to forge personal relationships with her staff—she genuinely wants us to succeed and motivates us to work together to better serve our community.”

 
Congratulations, Dr. Ramirez! Your practice will receive lunch on us to celebrate.
