Volunteer Doctors Needed for VSP Eyes of Hope Mobile Clinics

|

Eye doctors are needed to partner with VSP® Eyes of Hope® at upcoming outreach events to provide no-cost vision care for those in need in the community.

You can get involved by volunteering your expertise to provide eye exams to community members in need. Eye exams will be performed aboard the mobile eye care clinic and/or with portable equipment.

Eyes of Hope will work with their charitable partner to schedule patient appointments, coordinate the patient paperwork, provide and set up all the equipment, donate the eyewear, and manage the eyewear orders, so you can focus on giving care.

The patients you’ll be seeing have a family income within 200% of federal poverty level guidelines and no vision insurance, as qualified by the local charitable partner.

At the event, Eyes of Hope will follow current health and safety guidelines to ensure the well-being of all participants, and your lunch will be provided.

"I would encourage any optometrist who is able to get involved with the VSP Eyes of Hope clinics—it's a great opportunity to serve your community, especially those less fortunate, or those who don't have the means to provide for their eyecare."
