VSP Eyes of Hope Kicks Off 70-Event Tour to Celebrate 20-Year Mobile Clinic Anniversary

|

This year marks the 20th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, which was the catalyst for the VSP® Eyes of Hope® Mobile Clinics Program. In February, the Optometry Association of Louisiana (OAL) and Louisiana State Senator Gerald Boudreaux invited VSP Eyes of Hope to return to Louisiana to host a two-day mobile clinic event. With the support of 20 volunteer doctors, more than 300 community members of all ages received access to essential no-cost vision care.

This event kicked off an Eyes of Hope mobile clinic 70-event tour across the U.S. throughout 2025 to increase access to vision care. This tour celebrates the 70th anniversary of VSP Vision™ and 20 years of mobile outreach with the purpose of investing in helping people see.

To date, more than 4 million people in need have gained access to no-cost eye care and eyewear through VSP Eyes of Hope. To learn more about how to get involved with mobile clinics or other charitable opportunities, visit the Eyes of Hope page on the VSP Provider Hub.
