What’s on the agenda?
When Pressure Meets Sugar: Navigating the Intersection of Glaucoma and Diabetes (One hour of CE credit)
This course, presented by Melissa Tawa, OD, FAAO, will discuss the relationship between diabetes and glaucoma in optometric practice. Patients with diabetes have been associated with increased risk for development of open angle glaucoma. Diabetes can also cause glaucoma in the form of neovascular glaucoma, and a case will be used to discuss the clinical presentation and management. Lastly, diabetic retinopathy can confound glaucoma testing data and a case will be used to highlight the challenges of managing patients with both conditions.

Keeping an Eye on AI (One hour of CE credit)
AI is a rapidly evolving technology with broad applications. This course, presented by Anthony DeWilde, OD, FAAO, will educate optometrists about its current utilization in diagnosis and management as well as potential future applications to improve patient care.

Essential Medical Eye Care
Presented by Brittany Howell, VSP Senior Product Manager, this course provides an overview of how VSP streamlined its supplemental medical eye care coverage by creating a single plan, simplifying billing, and increasing availability by making it standard coverage for most VSP patients. You’ll also learn how to leverage this plan to maximize VSP benefits for your patients with diabetes and other medical eye care needs.

*To receive the ADA Badge, at least one person per practice location must have attended this entire event and you must have retinal imaging equipment in your practice. More information is available here.
