The clock is ticking on your patient’s benefits! Be a resource and help patients use their benefits before they expire—the more they understand how they can use their benefits, the more proactive they will become. Consistent messaging can encourage your patients to avoid the December rush and use their benefits sooner.
Motivate patients to schedule an exam in the following ways:
Keep patients informed. Send an email with a list of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) about vision benefits and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA). Find some examples of benefit utilization tips you can share with your patients here. At the bottom of the FAQ section, don’t forget to provide your office number so patients can call if they need more clarification on their vision benefits.
Share reminders. Your patients may not realize that they have unused benefits or FSA dollars that expire soon! Use the graphic below to send friendly reminders about deadlines to inform patients that their benefits may not carry over into the new year. You can also create social media videos with your staff.
Eye health tips on social media. Focus on consistent messaging about eye health to keep your patient’s vision top-of-mind. Add a call-to-action to each post encouraging followers to schedule an eye exam soon.
